    A 30 yr old gentleman presents with deep penetrating knife wound he said he had tt when he left school wat will u do for him?

    A human ig only
    B human ig + tetanus toxoid
    C full course teatanus vaccine only
    D human ig and full course tetanus vaccine
    E antibiotic
  2. Here is the reference:
    Firstly, all wounds should receive surgical toilet. After that depending on the wound and immunity category, the below recommendations should be followed:

    Immunity categories:
    A=Has had a complete course of TT and a booster dose within in past 5 yr
    B=TT complete course and a booster >5 yrs and <10 yrs
    C=TT complete course and a booster >10 yrs
    D=No tetanus immunization or immunity status unknown.


    Wounds less than 6 hours old, clean, non-penetrating and with negligible tissue damage:
    Immnue category Treatement
    A - Nothing more required
    B - TT 1 dose
    C - TT 1 dose
    D - Toxoid complete course

    Other wounds:
    Immnue category Treatement
    A - Nothing more required
    B - TT 1 dose
    C - TT 1 dose + Human Ig
    D - Toxoid complete course + Human Ig.
