All of the following glands have secreto-
motor supply by facial nerve except
    a) Nasal gland
    b) Lacrimal gland
    c) Submandibular gland
    d) Parotid gland

    Answer: Parotid gland

    Explanation:
Facial nerve: Secreto-motor to all glands in
    head EXCEPT Parotid
    Parotid gland:
    Parasympathetic secreto-motor supply arises
from the glosso-pharyngeal nerve. The nerves
reach the gland via the tympanic branch, the
lesser petrosal nerve, the otic ganglion, and the
    Auriculo-temporal nerve.
    Submandibular gland and Sublingual Gland:
    Parasympathetic secreto-motor supply is from
the facial nerve via the chorda tympani, and the
    submandibular ganglion. The postganglionic
fibers pass directly to the gland.
    Nasal gland and lacrimal gland:
    Parasympathetic secreto-motor supply is from
the facial nerve via greater petrosal nerve.
