    MMC recruitment 2009

Welcome to the BMJ Careers site for MMC Specialty Training Applications 2009

Here you can find details on all the Deaneries including location, recruitment timetables, procedures, key contacts, and links to significant Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) information. There's also information from some of the Royal Colleges heading up centralised specialty training recruitment for the first time this year.

Over the coming weeks you will be able to read articles from David Sowden, Senior Responsible Owner for MMC, on how specialty training recruitment will work, as well as advice and tips from people that went through last year's process. We'll be publishing full timetables and details of the process and keeping you up to date with all the news as it happens.

Finally if you feel we're missing something important then you can also get in touch with the BMJ Careers team at feedback.careers@bmjgroup.com

UK NHS has started advertising again in Indian newspapers regarding the shortage of doctors and starts recruitting directly from India, but be careful as they are only recrutting for Trust grade non training post on 2yrs contract without giving PLAB. There is a problem as after finishing contract u will be thrown out or else u need to pass plab in the meantime. So be careful....
