that question about the pregnant lady with htn and proteinuria was the answer aldomet or mg?
  18. me

    me Guest

that was iv mg because it was preeclamshia
  19. Guest

    Guest Guest

U WOULD NOT TREAT PRE-ECLAMPSIA--------BUT THE ANSWER WAS STILL MG.----BECAUSE IT WAS ECLAMPSIA
  20. me

    me Guest

you would not trear preeclamshia I appreciate..........BUT IV MG is also given to prevent the convulsions in eclampshia.............and you cant say it was eclamshia because the lady was having headaches and visual probs but no fits..........eclamshia per se has to have fits to be called eclamshia........anyways IV mg was right and thats all that matters

treatment of depression in an elderly lady with dementia ? fluoxetine /?TCA
lady with hyperthyroidism with family h/o addisons & pernicious anaemia whats the cause ?graves/toxic nodular goiter ,
  28. me

    me Guest

high positive antimicrosomal ab--------that question had a guy with thyroid lump........everyone thought it was papillary carcinoma......but among the answeres only rideles thyroiditis presents with positive ab and none of the cancers does......so ans was riedles thyroiditis

although the other lady had family Hx of autoimmune disease I think it was postpartum thyroidits(occurs between 5-12 months and the quest was 9 month) and not graves because of lack of eye signs
  29. me

    me Guest

elderly depression: fluoxitine are far better tolerated and less side effects than TCA
