position of mrcs in gulf countries

    i am m s gen surgeon from india with 8 years post ms experience ,i had appeared for post in moh saudi arabia and selected as specialist,there was written in the times and also told by many freinds that for you to be salected as consultant you need to have any western diploma for this the easiest way to do western diploma is doing mrcs as now the centres are in india also and we can appear as many time as we can.any one form the gulf country please help me about the status of mrcs surgeon in gulf for posting .i am clearly asking only mrcs not frcs ,mrcp or other western diploma .

    MRCS diploma is one of the requirements to enter SpR level/higher surgical training in the UK.
    It's the same even in Gulf.

    MS General Surgeons who have MRCS are prefered for Registrar level posts in the Gulf.

    For consultant level posts in Gulf... you will require either a Mch and/or FRCS with western experience!
